My newest creations use stones that I recently picked up at a sale at my local bead shop. I call the above earrings Night Over Mammoth after the most amazing starry sky I have ever seen. Several years ago, my then-boyfriend's family took us on a vacation to Mammoth, California. One evening, my boyfriend drove me to the top of a nearby mountain to show me the sky. I'd never seen so many stars. It was breathtaking! These blue goldstones remind me of that sky with their abundance of silver, blue, and purple sparkles. Again, I did a herringbone weave in sterling silver around the stones. Below are my Blueberry and Honey earrings. They feature huge blueberry quartz faceted rounds and rich orange carved imperial topaz. Imperial topaz is relatively rare and was worn in the 18th and 19th centuries by Russian czarinas.
Those are so beautiful, you do very nice work on your jewelry.
