This past Saturday, I took a class, given by Laura Pacino of SimplyAdorning, on how to do various techniques in wirewrapping. Our first project were the earrings pictured above. I learned how to create the focal arch and attach the briolettes securely. Second, we learned to wirewrap a cabochon. This is certainly one of the more difficult things I've done in jewelry-making. I chose a turritella and fashioned the pendant that you see below.

The pendant is amazing! I love the mess of curled wires at the top. It makes it all the more striking.

Very nice work! I like the "standing" briolettes in the focal arch ... wish I could have been at that class.

I've never taken a wire wrapping class. What a great idea... Usually, I'll just sit down & waste a lot of wire trying to figure it out!
